Abbi Helser: BSC Student (Senior)

Abbi is a senior Philosophy, History, and Law major with plans to go to law school once graduated from Birmingham-Southern. She established the Student Title IX Advisory committee, and she is incredibly well-versed in Title IX knowledge.

Katie McIntyre: BSC Professor (Sociology)

Dr. McIntyre received her Ph.D. in Medical Sociology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to joining the BSC faculty, she taught at UAB and Kennesaw State University. Currently, she is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology at BSC.

Aaliyah Moore: Interim Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion

Aaliyah received a Master of Science focused in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Mississippi State University. She currently works as the Interim Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion and the First-Year Success Advisor at Birmingham-Southern.

Victoria Ott: BSC Professor (History)

Dr. Ott is the James A. Wood Professor of History at Birmingham-Southern College, as well as the coordinator for the Gender and Women’s Studies minor. She received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Central Florida and her Ph.D. with an emphasis on American History from the University of Tennessee. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Historical Association.
